Stefan Marić Signs With Missouri Baptist University
Stefan Marić, a 6'6" Serbian setter from OK Vojvodina and the Serbian National Team program, has signed a full scholarship with Missouri Baptist University, an NAIA program.
Stefan Marić is heading to St. Louis. The 6'6" setter from Serbia has signed with Missouri Baptist University on a full scholarship and will join the Spartans for the upcoming NAIA season.
Who he is
Stefan earned Setter of the Tournament at the Serbian Youth National Championship. That award tells you what kind of player he is: a floor leader who controls the tempo and makes everyone around him better.
He cut his teeth at OK Vojvodina, one of the most respected clubs in Serbia, and has been part of the Serbian National Team system. That combination of club and national team experience gave him a volleyball IQ that's rare at his age.
What he brings
A setter with size and fast hands. Stefan reads the game at a high level, distributes the ball with purpose, and runs an offense with confidence. He's also the kind of player who shows up in the classroom: disciplined, focused, and a good teammate.
The Missouri Baptist fit
The Spartans have a real history with Serbian players. Multiple Serbian athletes have earned First Team All-American honors at MBU, and the program understands what it takes to develop international talent. Stefan is stepping into a system that knows his path.
